Edgefield Retreat (May 2-5, 2010)

Discover new directions by learning to paint outside the lines, and beyond the edges of the paper.

This workshop is designed to help creative women discover their muse as well as master basic watercolor technique, composition, and color. Learn to create bolder designs by understanding the importance of shape, value, and edges. Discover new tricks and techniques for mixing glowing whites, great grays, and rich blacks.

We will pull out all the stops, join me in May for some “CPR for the Soul”  at the Edgefield Manor for a fun filled Creative Painting Retreat, in Troutdale. Immerse yourself in a hot water lagoon as well as the artistic experience. Join forces with other artistic women in a focused, stimulating and positive learning experience.

Workshop cost is $135.  Sunday thru Wednesday.  
If there is space you can attend on a daily rate.
Monday $65
Monday and Tuesday  $115

These are Europeans style rooms with bath down the hall, no phone or TV.  Rooms with baths are $120 and up.

Sunday May 2

3:00  get moved into  your room and settled in
5:30 to 7:30  Meet and greet introductions in room 28 Winery Wing
Lecture/Demo and art presentation
Bring a pot luck dish or appetizer with wine or drink to share. 
Late evening free for dinner, movie or spa on your own

Monday May 3

8-9 Breakfast Black Rabbit Restaurant at the big table
9:30 Gather in the library for opening lecture and  demo.
10:30 to 4:00 Room 28 for Workshop
6:00 Cocktails and Dinner in the bar,
followed by live music, movie, or spa for evening 

Tuesday May 4

8-9 Breakfast Black Rabbit Restaurant
9:30 to 4:00 workshop
6:00 Dinner movie, music, or spa

Wednesday May 5

Library for critique and photos
