|Located above Lyle Washington in the Columbia River Gorge, the flying Pig Studio and Guest Ranch is a secluded retreat consisting of a three bedroom guest house and a separate teaching art studio. A large apartment with two additional bedrooms are available above the studio. The studio is perfect for hands-on art instruction, with plenty of work space and an audio-visual setup. It is fully stocked with art supplies and can accommodate eight students comfortably.
The guest house has a well-stocked full kitchen and a spacious living room and large deck that overlooks Mt. Hood and parts of the Columbia Gorge. It features a library stocked with hundreds of inspiring art books. Free wi-fi Internet is available throughout the complex. You may book your own retreat for four or more people through Airbnb.com (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4588839). Find any open dates and book online. For smaller groups, please call Gayle first. Gayle will also travel to your location to teach larger groups. Please contact her to arrange dates and topics. A typical beginners workshop is 3 days or longer and can start on any day of the week (as long as the time is open on Airbnb). Classes are $250 per person (see chart below). This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a creative environment with individual attention. Your course can be tailored to meet your group’s needs. We welcome you to stay extra days to experience all the Columbia River Gorge has to offer.
